Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.
We are looking for an experienced Special Education Teacher for the new schoolyear This is a supportive school district located in an inclusive community. The preferred candidate is one that has school-based experience.

This is a full-time position that provides services to a K-5th grade caseload. Please send me your current resume to be considered for this position since interviews are being conducted right now

Job Details:

Onsite near the Berrien Springs, Michigan area
Start in August
# students/sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
Valid state(MI)teaching certification/license in Special Education.
Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
