    About the Role:
    As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in our Enterprise Data Analytics & Enablement team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of a self-serving data mesh platform within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This position is pivotal to ANZ's Actionable Data initiative, focusing on automating system monitoring, incident response, and continuous enhancement within the central data mesh platform ecosystem. Working closely with development teams, you will strengthen system resilience and service availability.     What You'll Be Doing:

    - Designing, building, testing, and supporting a secure, robust, and scalable Central Data Mesh Platform on Google Cloud Platform
    - Resolving complex engineering challenges efficiently
    - Collaborating within and across teams, Tech Areas, and Domains
    - Leveraging tools and practices for effective solution deployment with a focus on Software Fundamentals
    - Instilling a culture of best practices within the Tribe and the Chapter regarding reviews, quality, and documentation
    - Offering continuous support for platforms as needed, such as problem and incident management

    What You'll Bring:

    - 2 years of experience in developing modern applications using GCP services like Cloud Build, Cloud Functions, GKE, Logging, GCS, BigQuery, and IAM
    - Proficiency in Python and familiarity with a secondary language like Golang or Java
    - Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with GKE/K8s and Docker
    - Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GCP Cloud Build or similar cloud-native services
    - Proficiency in Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
    - Understanding of security best practices, IAM, and service account management
    - Experience in defining, monitoring, and meeting SLOs and SLAs
    - Dedication to continuous improvement and automation of manual tasks
    - Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana) and GCP's native logging solutions
    - Solid grasp of cloud networking concepts, including VPC, VPN, load balancing, and firewall rules
    - Experience with managed database services on GCP, such as Cloud SQL, Bigtable, or Firestore
    - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

    Candidates applying for the Engineer level position should possess a minimum of 5 years of IT experience, particularly in design and development activities.
