    JOB SUMMARY

    Imaging File Clerk II position is responsible for the completion of imaging work processes of document sorting, preparation, scanning and indexing of medical records, financial or other paper documents. Scanning and indexing will be performed using the Kofax Batch Manager application. Other tasks will involve sorting and filing in both office and warehouse environment including the retrieval of medical record charts from a central warehouse system using proprietary tracking system.

    PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Responsible for the timely opening, sorting, and identification of incoming mail.
  • Responsible for the efficient document sorting, preparation, scanning and indexing of paper records.
  • Resolves scanning and indexing quality issues through research, correction and resubmission of documents.
  • Responsible for the filing of all scanned documents and the accurate labeling of boxes for storage.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Supervisor including loose file drop filing and patient chart maintenance.
  • Assist with the processing of Scan to CD clients. Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
    Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED, some junior college or vocational school is desired.
  • Ten key by touch required or demonstrate ten key skills.
  • Knowledge of medical record documents highly desired.
  • Good verbal and communication skills and ability to work with minimum supervision required.
  • Some knowledge of PC based spreadsheet and word processing applications desired. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
    This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment
  • Must demonstrate cognitive skills such as memory, judgment and decision to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to climb up and down tall ladders
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment
  • Must be able to do repetitive tasks such as filing of Social Security Numbers into folders for long periods of time
