- Oversees the administration of the High School's Unified Flag Football team which is composed of a proportional number of students with disabilities and students without disabilities.
- Liaison regularly with the school's Athletic Director and Special Olympics to ensure quality program standards are being met and policies are being followed.
- Develop and implement practice plans in which track and field event instruction is provided toall participants. There are a minimum of two practices each week.
- Organize and lead all practice sessions with the recruitment and support of Assistant Coaches.
- Impart the philosophy of a positive inclusive sports experience by following the principles of Unified Sports.
- Plan and manage competition strategies for individuals and the team at games.
- Recruit students with intellectual disabilities, students with other types of disabilities, and students without disabilities for the team.
- Handle all paperwork requirements and forms required by the school district and Special Olympics.
- If serving as a host site for a game, recruit and train volunteers to manage the event.
- Attend any appropriate training in your county and complete the Special Olympics Unified Sports Coaches' course.
