- Meet customer requirements for new model start-up activities.
- Project manage the engineering department and other support groups to meet customer expectations.
- Develop cost analysis for capital investments.
- Create and manage capital equipment budgets.
- Develop process designs for new model products.
- Generate failure mode effect analysis documents for new model product processes.
- Establish and oversee project schedules for new model process design implementation, including molds, fixtures, equipment, and training.
- Provide technical support and project leadership during new model start-up activities for customers.
- Coordinate and control new model trial activities.
- Analyze new model trial results and employ the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle for problem-solving activities.
- Apply lean manufacturing concepts to optimize processes.
- Propose design changes to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Act as the engineering liaison between customers and internal departments.
- Strong knowledge of assembly equipment and manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with plastics tooling and materials.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
- Previous experience in project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in using computer-related equipment.
- General knowledge of injection mold machines, die-cast machines, robots, paint, and general assembly equipment.
