Job Details:

Work Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM EST
Holiday schedule per unit needs
No on-call responsibilities
Operate MRI machines efficiently for pediatric patients from neonates through age 18
Provide age-appropriate care and make patients feel comfortable during scanning procedures
Maintain clean and safe scanning facility environment
Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to reduce anxiety
Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines
Adjust scanning parameters to accommodate various patient ages
Properly screen and prepare patients for scanning
Identify contraindications for safe scanning
Independently determine when scans must be stopped due to motion and sedation/anesthesia is needed
Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
Perform patient care tasks as needed
Must have 2 years of MRI experience and 6 months of pediatric experience

Required certifications:
BLS (American Heart Association only), ARRT

Must have Siemens scanner experience and Level 1 Trauma Center experience
NYS Rad Tech License required (willing to consider candidates who obtain prior to start)
Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology required
Must be able to stand for extended periods and be familiar with medical terminology
