    Job Summary

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position exists to provide short-term safe, quality and supportive residential service s to clients of the Minnesota Specialty Health System (MSHS) in Wadena. As an Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) facility, MSHS Wadena focuses on rehabilitative education, building interpersonal skills, and developing community engagement skills to increase each client's independence and self-management of their illness, behavior, and emotion.     Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Provide direct care under the direction of lead worker.
    • Provide training, treatment, support, vocational readiness and leisure activities within a residential treatment model. This model provides behavioral health services to individuals that require medical monitoring.
    • Provide through functional analyses of the etiology of the behavioral excesses/deficiencies and development of intervention strategies and environmental modifications that will support individuals to regain access to the community and as much independence to engage in the community as their circumstances permit.
    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    To qualify, applicants must:
    • Meet the qualifications of the section 245I.04, subdivision 14, Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker
    • Possess or be eligible for licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse.
    ***Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN.
