Description

Job Overview

The client, a large health system in the Atlanta metroplex, seeks medical technologists and lab technicians to work in their clinical hospital laboratory.

This is an evening shift position with rotating weekends.

Salary: $65,000-$80,000.

Skill Requirements:

Calibrate, operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
Dexterity and good eye-hand coordination are required for specimen collection and preparation.
Lab safety and infection prevention are paramount.

Responsibilities:

Perform testing in areas of clinical chemistry, hematology, transfusion services, clinical immunology, clinical microbiology, serology, and molecular diagnostics.
Match computer orders with specimen labeling; sort specimens; check labeling; log specimens; arrange reports for delivery.
Verify quality results, monitor equipment function, and troubleshoot issues.
Participate in staff training and educational opportunities; identify and communicate abnormal patient conditions.
Maintain confidentiality and contribute to a safe and secure environment.

Requirements:

MT/MLS: Bachelor's degree in science and MLS(ASCP) certification or equivalent.
MLT: Associates degree in science and MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent.
New graduates are encouraged to apply.
