    STATEMENT OF PURPOSE - Assisting the General Manager in overseeing operations and staff at a Wendy's restaurant, ensuring adherence to Company policies, objectives, and legal standards while fostering a culture of excellence.


    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY MEASUREMENT CRITERIA


    Key Performance Metrics: Consistency across the system is vital for evaluating performance, considering various criteria for each responsibility and emphasizing leadership, management, and team development.


    • Trains and monitors food safety protocols for Shift Supervisors and Crew Members
    • Ensures adherence to food safety procedures and regulations
    • Executes all Wendy's food safety standards and Health Department guidelines
    • Maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards
    • Monitors and reports health inspections and food preparation adherence
    • Ensures immediate action on critical issues

    • Collaborates with restaurant management to achieve sales targets and enhance performance
    • Monitors sales metrics and implements strategies to boost sales
    • Participates in marketing programs and new product launches
    • Engages with the local community for brand promotion

    • Manages costs and expenses effectively to meet profit goals
    • Controls food, labor, and other costs in line with objectives
    • Monitors food production and cost trends

    • Enforces company policies on cash, property, and equipment control
    • Maintains inventory levels and ensures safe working conditions
    • Handles preventive maintenance and safety protocols

    • Focuses on achieving QSC goals and maintaining service excellence
    • Manages Shift Supervisors and Crew Members to enhance customer experience
    • Handles customer complaints and feedback efficiently

    • Oversees Human Resources programs for crew employees
    • Maximizes retention and maintains proper staffing levels
    • Executes recruiting and HR processes effectively

    • Provides comprehensive training to staff and ensures compliance with standards
    • Offers feedback, coaching, and development opportunities
    • Identifies and nurtures talent within the team

    • Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures during shifts
    • Anticipates and resolves operational issues promptly

    • Performs other assigned duties

    QUALIFICATIONS - Successful candidates must fulfill essential job requirements and possess the necessary knowledge and skills.

    KNOWLEDGE

    • Familiarity with Wendy's operational procedures and standards
    • Understanding of employment laws and supervisory practices
    • Proficiency in interviewing and training practices

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - A college degree plus 6 months of restaurant industry experience; or equivalent education/experience combination.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT - The Assistant Manager must be present on site and capable of performing managerial duties effectively, including standing for extended periods and traveling as needed.
