    Job Description


    American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level IV NICU position requiring NRP certification and a minimum of one year of NICU experience in a Level I Trauma Hospital setting.

    Responsibilities

    • Position is in a Neonatal ICU (NICU) at an academic hospital setting
    • Level IV NICU experience is required for this role
    • Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
    • Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
    • Floating to all Children's units is required
    • 13-week contract
    • Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary
    • Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and assists physicians with exams and minor diagnostic procedures
    • Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
    • Communicates and educates patients and families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
    • Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates referrals as needed
    • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks of total work (one extension allowed) before being eligible for another contract
    • Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — all onboarding steps must be initiated promptly upon offer acceptance

    Requirements

    • Active RN license (Oklahoma state or Compact) currently in hand
    • Current AHA certifications required: BLS and NRP
    • Minimum of 1 year of NICU experience
    • Level I Trauma Hospital background required
    • Level IV NICU experience required
    • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
    • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    • Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
