    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Referral Coordinator to join our Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience utilizing EMR (eCW) and possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and manage patient referrals within a Cardiology office setting.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of referral requests.
    • Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies to gather necessary information for referrals.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral records in electronic medical records system.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless patient care.

    Requirements

    • Familiarity with medical terminology, coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), and managed care.
    • Proficient in using electronic medical records systems for managing referrals and medical records.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
    • Ability to work well under pressure.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
    • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
