Job Summary:
The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing production processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet the company's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations of the fruit juice manufacturing plant.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets and deadlines.
Ensure efficient use of resources, including raw materials, labor, and equipment.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards of product quality by implementing rigorous quality control measures.
Monitor production processes and adjust as needed to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.
Staff Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, technicians, and plant workers.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and implement staff development programs.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Develop and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace hazards and accidents.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of supplies and distribution of products.
Budget and Financial Management:
Prepare and manage the plant's budget, controlling costs while maximizing productivity.
Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, quality, and safety.
Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates and insights on operational activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in using manufacturing software and ERP systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in fruit juice or beverage manufacturing.
Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
