    Job Description:

    Must-Haves:
    1. North Carolina or Compact State RN License required.
    2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
    3. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required through American Heart Association upon hire.
    4. Must be able to work in a challenging environment and respond effectively.
    5. Two to three years of professional nursing experience with one year in leadership is required.
    Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in nursing care assessment and planning.
    • Strong understanding of state and federal regulations in healthcare.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with healthcare professionals.
    Position Summary:

    Our Award Winning Client, operating nationally and renowned for excellence, seeks a Director of Nursing accountable for overseeing patient care activities within the facility. The role involves supervision, evaluation, and coordination of nursing service activities. The Director of Nursing ensures compliance with regulatory standards and fosters a collaborative healthcare environment.

    Reports to: Extended Care Unit Administrator

    Responsibilities of the Position:
    • Assess resident conditions and nursing care needs, plan care, and define appropriate nursing interventions.
    • Develop individualized nursing care plans for residents, implementing and revising as necessary.
    • Evaluate resident care outcomes and collaborate with healthcare team members.
    • Coordinate resident care, admissions, transfers, and discharges effectively.
    • Direct operations and administration of the department, ensuring adherence to facility policies and procedures.
    • Develop and mentor assigned personnel, fostering professional development.
    • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding departmental activities.
    • Oversee procurement, setup, use, and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
    • Maintain skill competencies and ensure staff compliance with professional development requirements.
    Qualifications - External:

    Minimum Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
    • North Carolina or Compact State RN License required.
    Certifications/Licenses:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required through American Heart Association upon hire.
    • Registered Nurse license is required.
    Required Skills:
    • Critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
    • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
    • Knowledge of state and federal regulations in healthcare settings.
    • Understanding and responsiveness to the needs of long-term care patients and families.
