Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the technical supervisor and medical director, the Ultrasound Technologist III demonstrates competency and proficiency in all skills required to perform all routine and advanced ultrasound procedures as defined by department protocols.
They educate the patient/family about the procedure and report all changes in patient's status, including initiating emergency response if required.
They accurately document patient information in the appropriate hospital systems. Ultrasound Technologist III acts as a resource and assists in the training of less experience technologists in the department. Assists with quality control duties and monitors/orders supplies for the department(s) as required. Acts as a lead technologist in the absence of the technical supervisor/assistant technical supervisor. Hospital based positions may require call responsibility and rotation to hospital adjacent imaging center locations. Performs other duties as assigned.Education and Experience

RCSAE:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Adult Echo (RDCS) registered, Or

Registered Cardiac Sonographer -Adult Echo
Non-Invasive Vascular Lab:
DMSVT:
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS-RVT) registered.
