Summary:
Jewelers Mutual Group, United States and Canada's leading insurer, risk advisor, and technology provider for the jewelry industry is hiring a Business Analyst to support our HR/Finance systems Plays a lead role in the evaluation of Jewelers Mutual's current systems and processes by identifying and communicating needs between business areas, technology teams and support teams.
Also works at a high level to analyze business area needs, then recommends and defines solutions to address business challenges and desired outcomes.
Agile experience is preferred.This role requires an on-site presence of 60% at our Neenah Headquarters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Planning and Execution Activities
Determines which techniques and artifacts should be used for each project based upon size, complexity and stakeholders
Identifies all stakeholders
Helps communicate and mitigate risks to ensure project success
Responds to changing organizational priorities
Works closely with project managers and assists with the project planning
Provides input from a business and IT perspective
Requirements Gathering
Ensures stakeholders are involved in requirements gathering activities
Obtains needed information from stakeholders to form requirements
Captures information provided in formal and informal meeting environments
Prepares requirements documentation in format understandable to the recipient audience
Ensures requirement traceability through all phases of a project / program
Strives to eliminate ambiguity in, or varying interpretations of requirements
Assesses client needs utilizing a structured requirements process to assist in identifying business priorities, and may advise on options
Develops, writes, and communicates business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of business solutions
Builds use cases to identify functional requirements to satisfy business needs
Defines routine, integrated processes
Documents processes using basic formal process charting techniques
Applies process definitions and flows to work performed
Identifies process bottleneck and contributes suggestions for process improvement
Analysis, Management & Communication
Obtains, organizes and categorizes large amounts of information provided by stakeholders
Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs.
Assesses the needs of primary business functionsSuggests technical solutions for business functions, and implements action plans to improve ongoing business performance in ways that minimize day-to-day disruption of operations
Ensures that all requirements and designs support the delivery of value, fulfill goals and business outcomes
Offers input on priority of requirements based on time, cost, scope, strategic fit and return on investment
Obtains approvals for each artifact generated
Analyzes and articulates impacts of changes to requirements
Appropriately responds to changing requirements
Resolves conflicts and issues
Escalates issues as appropriate
Keeps business units informed of problems, issues, and resolutions
Varies communication method / style based on stakeholder or group
Understands organizational culture, structure and impact on work efforts
Understands enterprise architecture concepts and can assess business capability needs
Conducts data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements
Establishes and maintains liaison relationship with business units and IT in order to provide effective technical solutions
Seeks opportunities to improve and deepen relationship between IT and business units
Analyzes performance metrics to ensure stakeholder satisfaction
Coaches and transfers knowledge to less experienced team members
Recommend Solutions
Provides a concise list of solution options considered including a recommended solution
Assesses the organizational readiness for the new solution
Outline business capabilities and requirements to move from the current to future state
Verify and validate that proposed solutions meet business needs / outcomes

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Property/casualty insurance background and jewelry industry experience are helpful.UKG and/or Workday experience preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency in common Microsoft applications, including MS Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint and Outlook.
Working knowledge of project management applications, Mind Mapping Software, and prototyping applications (e.g. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Axure, iRise, Microsoft Expression Studio).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification and/or Usability (UX) Certifications are desirable
