    Job Title

    **Youth Care Specialist Supervisor**

    The Youth Care Specialist Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing leadership and supervision to the Youth Care Specialists. This position involves developing and managing direct reports, scheduling, and participating in the recruiting process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Safety and Security: Ensure the safe and secure operations of the program by maintaining compliance with contract requirements, local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Team Supervision: Supervise team members and youth in accordance with operational policies and procedures to ensure their safety and security.
    • Performance Management: Provide timely performance feedback to direct reports, complete evaluations, and suggest incentives for growth opportunities.
    • Youth Support: Instruct youth in facility and equipment maintenance, supervise the handling of program property, and observe safety measures and precautions.
    • Academic and Vocational Support: Supervise academic, vocational, and motivational activities on and off campus.
    • Communication: Communicate necessary information to team members and supervisors/directors.

    Requirements

    • Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
    • Experience: Six consecutive months of supervisory experience required, minimum one year of experience working with youth, preferably in the Juvenile Justice System.
