    Job Scope:


    This role is responsible for driving performance within network pharmacies to achieve business targets by developing Specialty Pharmacy relationships, monitoring operational performance and maintaining oversight of contracted services.

    This individual will be expected to provide leadership and to improve systems and processes to ensure effective execution of business strategies, as well as, enhance pharmacy value for Biogen our patients and commercial products through the established accountability model by consistently evaluating performance associated with Acquisition, Retention, Customer Engagement, Compliance/Quality and Employee Engagement.

    Development of strategic partnerships both internal and external, and influencing without authority across multiple groups and levels within the organization will be the key to success in this role.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Accountable for evaluating the operational performance of Biogen's pharmacy network to include driving performance, ensuring adherence to contracts, implementation of new programs and/or products, invoice validation, and pharmacy interface oversight.
    • Develop and maintain pharmacy relationships and manage regular communications with aligned pharmacy contacts
    • Coordinate and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with pharmacies allowing for the business to evaluate overall operational results
    • Collaborate with aligned network pharmacies to monitor key acquisition metrics, Adherence Program engagement, patient retention and discontinuation trends and develop solutions to enhance the customer experience
    • Validate & track various pharmacy metrics and communicate pharmacy network insights/trends to stakeholders and senior management at agreed upon intervals or as needed
    • Support invoice reconciliation and approval processes for contracted services at network pharmacies
    • Manage Pharmacy Operations inbox inquiries and investigate escalations impacting service.
    • Conduct trainings with new network pharmacies and partner with the Distribution Team on network changes
    • Partner with PS Operations and IT for process improvement opportunities including areas around acquisition and patient retention
    • Work in a dynamic environment to develop and implement strategic and tactical programs for network pharmacies to facilitate patient/physician access to and continuance on therapy
    • Effective collaboration with groups spanning various business units within and outside of the organization, (MA&R, Distribution, Marketing, Sales, Patient Services, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory and Finance) will be critical to drive business initiatives and drive results across Biogen.
    • Ensure agent and network pharmacy compliance with all PV Governance / Audit request needs
    • Support launch team activities and partner with pharmacies on program development for contracted services.
    Qualifications

    Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required:

    • 3-5 years prior Pharmacy and/or Vendor Management experience preferred
    • 2-3 years of leading teams and driving performance targets preferred
    • Project management experience and experience managing relationships preferred
    • Excellent problem solving, time management, analytical and organizational skills necessary
    • Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment including cross-functional teams and with multiteam locations
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
    • Experience using Excel and PowerPoint to analyze and communicate key messages
    • Travel based on need to Boston and various pharmacy locations as needed

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree Required
