Examples of Duties
Coordinate all training schedules and training activities Conduct onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing employees Train employees on small equipment heavy equipment and fleet vehicles including trucks dump trucks Plan schedule conduct trainings Maintain detailed records of employee skills assessments progress notesandtraining documentation Develop implement monitor Performance Improvement Plans PIPS when necessary Track employee performance development through Performance Improvement Plans observations Provide coaching mentoring corrective guidance to improve employee performance Floater operator when there is no active training Documentation &Performance Management Maintain up-to-dateemployee skills assessments competency records Document employeeprogresstrainingscompletion Prepare writtenperformance notes Develop oversee Performance ImprovementPlans PIPS Maintain accurate personneldocumentation in accordance with policy Working Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions with exposure to traffic noise heavymachineryphysical labor Typical Qualifications MinimumQualifications High schooldiploma orequivalent Experienceinpublicworks maintenanceorequipmentoperation Demonstratedexperiencetrainingandsupervisingemployees Valid CDLclassArequired AikenCountyGovernmentoffers acompletebenefitspackageto full-timeemployeessincluding health care dental vision state retirement deferred compensation plans flexible spending accounts life insurance long-term disability holidays vacation sick leave Part-time employeesthatworkanaverageof30are benefit eligible
