    Job Description

    ***Only qualified Senior Program Manager candidates located in the Oakland, CA area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

    The Principal Program Manager will be responsible for establishing core processes and laying the foundation for the launch of our Transportation Electrification Advisory Services programs. This is a temporary position, lasting approximately 6-8 months.

    The Principal Program Manager will be supporting our upcoming advisory services programs aimed at providing comprehensive guidance for customers throughout their TE journey to enable the electrification of medium-and-heavy duty fleet vehicles. The advisory services will include information and resources related to site selection, fleet electrification planning, rate selection, load management, vehicle to grid integrations, and everything in between. The program will rely heavily on internal cross collaboration efforts with Business Energy Solutions Account Reps, Service Planning and Design, Distribution Planning, Vehicle to Grid Implementation, Marketing, and IT.

    The ideal candidate is highly organized, results driven, has fleet electrification experience, or program/product management expertise, and values customer centric approaches in developing tools and resources.

    Key Qualifications:


    • Background in EV: Fleet gas to Electric


    • PM proven skills and technical knowledge in EV


    • Project/program coordination

    Required Education/Experience:


    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent


    • 10 years of related work experience

    Preferred Education:


    • Master's degree preferred


    • Advanced degree in public policy, business administration, or environmental science / energy or similar

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    • Strong program development, program management and/or product management expertise


    • Knowledge of existing electric vehicle and energy programs for public-sector customers and the specific challenges these customers face


    • Workload/time management skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team


    • Ability to develop working relationships with customers and business partners ensuring that work plans and operations are coordinated, aligned and support attainment of department and company goals and objectives


    • Ability to work constructively, drive progress and resolve challenges across a large and complex organization and among internal/external stakeholders

    Desired Skills/Abilities:


    • Understanding of utility/energy industry dynamics, trends, and issues, including rate and legislative/regulatory matters and business drivers


    • Subject matter expertise in transportation electrification and advisory services


    • Ability to leverage strong strategic and analytical capabilities to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs to influence internal and external leaders


    • Experience thriving in highly autonomous roles while delivering high-impact results


    • Strong communication skills and experience engaging effectively with regulators, customers, and industry stakeholders


    • Experience employing design thinking principles to execute on strategy and program development


    • Ability to use understanding of the business to help drive strategic decision making, and to recommend operational improvements


    • Ability to lead the largest most complex projects across the line of business supported


    • Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact

    Senior Program Manager Responsibilities:

    Benchmarking and Stakeholder Engagement:


    • Conduct research on existing TE Advisory programs to determine best practices and develop coordination strategies for programs within Client service territory

    Process Development:


    • Develop project and milestone timelines and trackers


    • Work with CET PMO team to develop dashboards to track Key Performance Indicators


    • Set-up and coordinate cross-collaboration channels to advance cross-functional workstreams

    Development of Customer Facing Products:


    • Flesh out offerings based on TEAS and TEF TA program decisions including making updates to web tools, standing up internal processes


    • Conduct customer interviews to gather feedback and iterate on program design


    • Develop workflows and serve as the Salesforce and IT point of contact for the development of program applications


    • Develops Requests for Proposals and leads solicitation process

    Communication:


    • Communicate project scope and progress, through written and oral communications, to CET leadership team, internal stakeholders, and customers


    • Can differentiate between different audiences and creates content accordingly


    • Build effective working relationships across Client and external organizations to deliver solutions to complex problems that arise during project implementation
