As part of the Collections Value Stream within Discover, you will work on an Agile Team with our business partners to build and maintain consumer focused systems within our Company.

Within our Digital platform, we help deliver the Collections experience to the Discover website and the software utilized by our call service agents.

As an Application Engineer - Mainframe , you ' ll build and release reliable software systems at scale. By partnering with enterprise-wide teams, you'll develop and maintain full stack solutions that fit our business needs. Contribute to product team deliverables using Mainframe programming technology
Diagnose opportunities for automation and efficiency in end-to-end product delivery cycle
Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new user stories and features with high quality (security, reliability, operations) to production
Contributes to and leads technology communities at Discover

Bachelors – Computer Science or related
~3+ Years – Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or related
~ Experience in financial services space, preferably dept collections systems (Debt Manager)
Experience with Cobol, CICS and DB2 and with developing high volume applications
