Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Professional (APP) will continue with the core duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description as an APP within the Department of Medicine, Section of Hospitalist Medicine.In addition,this candidate will provide a leadership role within the Section of Hospitalist Medicine.+Qualifications
+Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master's Degree in Nursing.National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.+Responsibilities
+Manages hospitalist inpatient APP personnel to ensure availability+of appropriately credentialed clinically competent cohesive work force to meet patient care needs.+Navigates credentialing/privileging facility directives at these sites assure adherence to local policies.Functions staff model promoting cooperative problem solving positive progressive discipline individual group goal orientation appropriate delegation section duties/activities building esprit de corps through individual coaching counseling attending meetings assisting annual performance appraisals actively participating activities section.Assists development implementation ongoing educational programs professional support staff including new employee orientation continuing education procedural training equipment systems training enable staff perform based current policy/procedures state-of-the-art practices.Manages adequate APP coverage ensuring effective communication Medical Staff patients departments necessary identification problems resolution support hospital mission quality care delivery.Job description
