    Techline, Inc. is seeking a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to work in the Professional Services Group in Austin, Texas.


    Primary Purpose:

    The Junior Cyber Security Specialist will assist the Systems Engineer and Director of IT to plan, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of the Techline network.

    This is an in-person position reporting to a professional office daily.


    Major Responsibilities/Tasks:
    Ensure appropriate security controls are in place and assist with creating best practice proceduresAssess system vulnerabilities for security risk and propose and implement risk mitigation strategiesHelp implement, monitor, and investigate alerts from all security tools deployedManage the security awareness program and tools and ensure onboarding and annual security training is performedHelp develop and oversee incident investigation and response processMaintain the security infrastructureEnsure authorized access through investigating improper access, reporting violations, and monitoring logs, to include Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Office 365Assist Systems Engineer and Director of IT in security incident resolution and risk evaluationsContribute to the development of company security policies and proceduresAssist with security complianceOther duties as assigned by the Director of IT

    The Ideal Applicant Will:
    Possess one to two years of hands-on experience in security administration and IT operations.
    Demonstrate commitment to security and self-development through a history of self-directed learning.
    Display excellent detail-oriented, organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
    Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, auditors, and senior management.
    Demonstrate a team player mentality.
    Display initiative as a strong self-starter.
    Hold security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or commit to obtain such within six months of hire.


    Education and Experience Requirements:
    Associates degree and a minimum of one-year related work experience requiredThree or more years of relevant work experience preferredCertifications (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, etc.) preferredExchange, Azure, and Office 365

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    This position has no supervisory responsibilities
