    Description


    Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical, secretarial and general office assistance duties in a department of Town government.

    Reports to Department Director.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Scheduling and coordination of all Town of Davie rental facilities including park shelters, Robbins Lodge, Shenandoah and Ivanhoe Community Centers;
    • Processes program, sports and special event registrations through RecTrac.
    • Balances department revenues and prepares daily receipts to the Budget & Finance Department.
    • Assists with department payroll submission to the Budget & Finance Department.
    • Assists the public at a counter or serves as a receptionist giving information regarding departmental operations and answering questions on programs, procedures and regulations; handles telephone inquiries and correspondence of a non-technical nature.
    • Prepares requisitions for materials and supplies; maintains relatively complex departmental files and records; compiles and prepares reports and other data from such records.
    • Processes, sorts, checks for accuracy and files applications, licenses, purchase orders and other routine documents in accordance with established systems; maintains receipt books and routine office records relating to accounts, licenses, taxes, inventories, payrolls and statements related to these records; may accept small payments for accounts, licenses, taxes, etc.; may assist in the budget process by performing basic research and typing the final budget.
    • Assists with scheduling and conducting background screenings.
    Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)

    Education & Training


    Required:

    • Graduation from High School and/or G.E.D. AND
    • One (1) year of experience in secretarial and clerical work, preferably including the operation of Microsoft Office products.
    Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

    Special Requirements

    Must have the ability to accurately typea minimum of 40 wpm.
