Senior Loss Control Consultant

Join our team at Alexander & Schmidt as a Senior Loss Control Consultant. In this role, you will conduct inspections and generate detailed reports essential for insurance underwriting purposes. These reports play a critical role in ensuring appropriate insurance coverage for commercial properties and business operations, whether it involves initiating a new policy or renewing an existing one.

Key Qualifications

Preferably 10 years of experience with a leading insurance provider or as an independent loss control consultant.
Thorough knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance lines
- Assessing properties may involve evaluating the sufficiency of sprinkler systems based on factors like occupancy, commodities, and storage systems.
- Managing Inland Marine coverages, including builders risk, contractor's equipment, motor truck cargo, and various specialty coverages.
- Reviewing Commercial General Liability aspects such as Premises, Operations, Products, and Completed Operations.
- Conducting Workers Compensation assessments for regulatory adherence and workplace safety.
- Performing loss analysis to identify patterns, root causes, and recommend corrective measures.
- Handling specialized fields like Environmental and Professional Liability.
Providing Risk Improvement services like training, consulting, hazard analysis, and regulatory evaluations.
Strong communication skills coupled with exceptional writing, organizational, and computer skills.
Effective Time management abilities.
Professional certifications such as CSP, OHST, ALCM, and/or ARM are beneficial but not mandatory.
Submitting reports, photos, and diagrams through dedicated portals or web-based systems.
Traveling within a reasonable range of 50 miles for inspections.
