Hybrid Role: 2 days in office, 3 days from home

Hourly Rate:
$ $35.50

Seeking a Staff Accountant in Lake Nona, FL.

General Purpose of the Job:
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and perform the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyses.
Responds to balance sheet reconciliation queries from management and peers.
Collaborates with Field Accountants as needed to record entries and maintain a clean balance sheet.
Verifies and appropriately challenges the legitimacy of journal entries and support.
Prepares and submits journal entries complete with thorough descriptions and support.
Assists with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages as needed.
Assists with internal and external audit requests.
Researches ad-hoc requests from management and develops reports as needed.

Performs all duties of Accountant:

Compilation and analysis of financial information; preparation of journal entries; auditing of contracts, orders, and vouchers; coordinating implementation of accounting policies and control procedures; assisting in implementing systems for general accounting.

Minimum Education and/or Experience:
Relevant degree from a four-year college or university required. CPA accreditation is desirable.
