Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in managing quick service and fine dining establishments. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and driving the restaurant's success.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service.
- Manage staff training and development to ensure high levels of performance and customer service.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and manage costs effectively.
- Utilize POS systems for efficient cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- Supervise daily shift management, including scheduling staff and managing labor costs.
- Foster a positive work environment through team management and effective communication.
- Conduct interviews and hire qualified candidates for various positions within the restaurant.
- Develop budgets and financial plans to achieve operational goals while maximizing profitability.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, culinary practices, and kitchen management.
- Experience with quick service, casual dining, or fine dining establishments is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and budgeting processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
- Background in hospitality management or food service management is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in banquet services or catering is a plus.
