    Description

    Job Title: Mold Technician


    The Hayward company is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Mold Technician. This position involves learning how to install molds into molding machines, setting up secondary/auxiliary equipment and tools in a safe, correct, and efficient manner.



    Main Responsibilities:



    • Makes mold changes and setups on molding machines with assistance from experienced technicians.

    • Develops and demonstrates a basic knowledge of all in-house machinery including machine safety, functions, vocabulary.

    • Robotics - Change End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT), load program start stop step through program on multiple machines.

    • Processing - Load predefined part recipes verify process sheet materials visually identify various material types understand resin drying parameters quality systems demonstrate an understanding of defects read blueprints follow Quality Instructions use gauges complete start-up checksheet maintain improve manufacturing process installs special parts devices observes operation verifies conformance standard insures operating cycle times efficiencies producing quality parts notifies supervisor unable attain elements outside trainees control reads job orders product specifications including BOMs Standard Work develops maintains good relations departments other necessary interact department ensures housekeeping takes ownership area working removing unnecessary items returning proper home location participates Continuous Improvement programs Lean Production System Kaizen advance departmental personal goals adheres leads way Company Departmental Safety Policies identifies strives continuous improvements adheres all policies procedures includes work environment physical tasks include lifting 50 pounds frequently pushing reaching climbing stooping during mold changes operates overhead crane basis safety glasses hearing protection safety toe shoes required plant floorCareer Requirements:
      • Knowledge mechanical systems demonstrated mechanical aptitude testing required ability solve practical problems variety variables situations limited standardization exists interpret instructions furnished written oral diagram schedule form able work night shift high school diploma GED one-year certificate college technical training machine setup preferred experience plastics injection molding environment strongly hydraulic programmable logic controls robotic EOAT plus b,strong key skills areas strong analytical problem-solving interpersonal communication team collaboration leadership decisive action reliable timely persistent skill maintenance continuous improvement electronics automation technology PC based software manufacturing operations specialized production configuration retrieval information ERP MS office modulate growth continuity visual small medium business supports plan adapt ongoing maximize strategic stabilization.
