    The User Experience & Research team is a full-service Product Design organization within DIRECTV's Entertainment Group. We are made up of experts in UX, UI, Design Research, Design Strategy, Interaction Design, and Copy. We are responsible for the user experience for all of DIRECTV's products including DIRECTV STREAM, DIRECTV Satellite, and DIRECTV Commercial. Our work is industry leading and used by over 26 million customers daily.

    Here's what you'll do:

    • Use storytelling, UX, and prototypes to compellingly convey the vision, flow, and features of the product you are designing.
    • Collaborate with fellow UX designers, researchers, and other internal teams to generate ideas and get feedback on your designs.
    • Successfully work with developers, project managers, and other internal teams to get your designs into production.
    • Work on several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
    • Facilitate the design process, present, and iterate design solutions in partnership with UI, Motion, Copy, and Research.
    • Bring insight-driven design solutions to the table and be prepared to present to a variety of stakeholders, defend your designs, and give thoughtful consideration to feedback.
    • Uphold and maintain detailed UX documentation, ensuring quality and consistency of UX specifications across our deliveries.

    What you'll need to be successful:

    • 3 - 5+ years of UX design working in design team environments.
    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or an equivalent degree preferred.
    • Strong portfolio of design and UX work. A track record of leading substantial design projects.
    • Experience working across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work, with a collaborative and innovative approach.
    • Systems Thinker with a Product Mindset: You're great at wrangling complex problems and finding clarity and simplicity. You think strategically about any design challenge and seek to create holistic, compelling products that serve the end user.
    • Empathetic + Fun: You're well-versed in user-centered methodologies and design thinking. You design for consumer needs first and foremost. Oh, and you're great fun to work with.
    • Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to understand research or data and apply it to designs.
    • You have excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills. You effectively manage up and are able to tell compelling stories about your work to partners and team members.

    DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

    The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

    DIRECTV WAGE ZONES ($105,830 - $192,050)

    Low (N1): $105,830 - $158,650

    Mid (N2): $111,400 - $167,000

    High (N3): $122,540 - $183,700

    Top (N4): $128,110 - $192,050
