    SUMMARY

    Green Jobs Academy founded in 2010, is New England's only regional Home Weatherization and Energy Efficiency training facility that provides complete career development training and certification courses.

    Through the use of hands-on instructional learning, Green Jobs Academy provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter and advance in the home weatherization field.

    Green Jobs Academy's lab exposes students to various conditions they will see in the field and provides them with the skills necessary to solve problems they may encounter at the worksite.

    The Program Recruiter will support Green Jobs Academy and its students through recruitment and post-employment support.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Preform outreach for potential student candidates for all Green Jobs Academy courses.
    Ensure courses are enrolled and capacity is met for each class.
    Collaborate with key stakeholders to facilitate permanent employment opportunities for GJA student candidates.
    Collaborate with staff and key stakeholders to facilitate on-the-job training opportunities.
    Collaborate with staff to ensure successful completion of each class and address barriers as they emerge.
    Collaborate with GJA staff in the development and distribution of marketing materials.

    Assist in the facilitation of workshops focused on employment skills - such as resume writing & critique, cover letter writing, and mock interviews.

    Assist and support trainees in all phases of job search.
    Assist in the development and strengthening of relationships with employment partners.
    Support in the collection and maintenance of student demographic and evaluation data.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
    Two years in a Human Services or vocational environment preferred.
    Prior work with individuals experiencing barriers to employment and/or educational advancement desirable.
    Proven computer skills in Microsoft Office.
    Strong communication skills.
    Demonstrated excellence with attention to detail, teamwork and ability to multi-task.
    Strong marketing and/or sales skills.
    Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance standards, required.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
    Directly reports to Program Manager, Green Jobs Academy.
    Direct reports of this position are none.
    Indirect reports are none.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    Ability to drive.
    Ability to read, write and understand data.
    Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
