    Opportunity:

    Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology

    Job Details:


    • Work in a 3-room nuclear medicine unit serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients

    • See approximately 13-15 patients per day with varying hours depending on workload

    • Block scheduling format with patient ratios of 3 during day shifts

    • Weeknight and weekend call required

    • 32 hours of orientation provided

    • Must have 2 years of experience and IV start capabilities

    • Required procedure experience includes: Cardiac studies, Bone Scan, Liver/Spleen Scan, Lung Scan, Thyroid Studies, Tumor Localization, and Myocardial procedures

    • Preferred procedure experience includes: Brain Scan, Renal Flow, and SPECT

    • Work with patients of all ages including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

    • Use Cerner documentation system and PACS

    • Siemens equipment preferred

    • Required certifications: BLS, ARRT N or NMTCB

    • Must be comfortable with nuclear cardiology, gastric emptying, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, and radioactive material handling

    • Floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals required

    • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

The facility features modern nuclear medicine equipment and technology, supporting both routine and specialized procedures. The department maintains high standards for patient care and safety protocols, particularly in the handling and disposal of radioactive materials, while serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department needs.
