We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer with significant Emerson DeltaV experience to join a fast-growing system integrator in North Carolina.

My client is an Emerson Impact Partner covering North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia providing industry-leading process equipment and service for process control, automation, safety, and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot, DeltaV Process Control Systems
• Define and support DCS regulatory control strategies
• Monitor system and network performance
• Ensure compliance with corporate security standards, control system life cycle planning, and budgeting
• Provide technical consultation, formal and informal training, and development of documentation, standards, and procedures about their role
• Act in a support or team role for a variety of capital and expense projects
• Provide technical consulting and direction to the Process Control Specialist and less experienced Control Engineers
• Provide support for controller performance and alarm management KPIs

Min. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
• A minimum of 5 years of Control Systems experience in the manufacturing industry required
• This position requires negotiating skills and the ability to resolve conflict across departmental lines to achieve objectives
• The individual should understand process engineering theory and learn control theory fundamentals
• This position requires a commitment to learn and understand the development and application of new control systems and new control strategies
• Candidates must have excellent leadership, ethics, teamwork, and communication skills with a results-oriented commitment.
• The ability to manage multiple and changing priorities is essential

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in key technologies, including DeltaV DCS and DeltaV SIS.
