    Crowne Plaza Knoxville Downtown University in Knoxville, TN is looking for a restaurant supervisor to join our team. We are located on 401 W. Summit Hill Drive. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.

    Responsibilities

    · Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing exceptional service exceeding guests' expectations

    · Supervises the operation of hotel restaurant and lounge

    o Possesses a valid liquor card at all times

    o Coordinates the setup of restaurant and lounge areas in accordance with company standards

    o Confirms daily specials and new menu additions with the Executive Chef

    o Oversees the food and beverage service provided in assigned outlets; coaches employees on effective service and food presentation techniques

    o Inspects restaurant and lounge areas on an on-going basis and takes appropriate steps to ensure facilities meet or exceed hotel standards at all times

    o Conducts daily pre-shift meetings to discuss specials, house count, reservations and new menu items

    · Adheres to legal and/or company policies and standards

    o Understands and follows the laws and guidelines for beverage service

    o Handles cash, checks and/or credit cards in accordance with company policies

    · Ability to perform considerable amounts of physical activity on a continual basis

    Qualifications

    · Must be 18 years of age or older

    · ABC Card: This position is required to possess and maintain a valid ABC card at all times.

    · Stand-up and/or one-on-one training: Skilled in the use of techniques and strategies required to deliver training material in group and one-on-one settings

    · Performance management, supervisory: Demonstrate ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and quality levels

    · Organization: Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time

    · Technical service skills: Demonstrate understanding of the technical service skills for assigned area (ie. food & beverage service, housekeeping, etc.)

    · Point of sale: Skilled in utilization of point of sale systems and/or other back of the house systems.

    · Upselling: Know the available products and services and suggest alternatives.
