    Description
    We are currently seeking a highly motivated

    Structural Engineer

    to join our team.

    Project assignments will predominately be in areas on water treatment, wastewater treatment, potable water storage, conveyance, and distribution type projects.

    Water Works Engineers provides consulting engineering services for water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, sewage pump station, water booster stations, pipelines, and other water and wastewater facilities throughout the Western United States.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural or Architectural Engineering
    Arizona PE or ability to get Arizona PE within 6 months of starting position
    3-10 years' experience working in the water and wastewater field with demonstrated experience in engineering design for various water resources projects, which may include pipelines, pump stations, storage reservoirs, wells, and water and wastewater facilities
    Commitment to technical excellence
    Creative thinker and team player
    Proficient knowledge of the 2018 International Building Code/ 2019 California Building Code, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and NDS. Additional knowledge of AWWA standards for the structural design of steel and concrete water storage tanks is a plus
    Proficient with Word and Excel
    Proficient with 3D structural modeling and finite element analysis software
    Knowledge of CAD and modeling programs a plus
    Responsibilities

    Development of calculations, reports, plans and specifications for Water and Wastewater Conveyance and Treatment Facilities
    Structural systems selection
    Hydrodynamic analysis of water bearing structures
    Concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structural design
    Architectural design associated with accessibility, materials of construction, hazard occupancies, etc.
    Structural assessment of existing facilities
    Construction Observation/Review
