    Medical Laboratory Technologist(MLT) - Moab, UT - Full Time Direct Hire

    Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for MLT/MT to work onsite in Moab.

    Join our Laboratory team at Moab Regional Hospital
    • You are responsible for providing accurate and timely test results that will help providers determine patient care needs, and are a strong generalist (preferably with microbiology reading experience) who is a willing and capable phlebotomist, when needed.
    • Due to the rural location of Hospital, our ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive range of laboratory knowledge and skills, and be able to adapt and learn new skills without hesitation.
    • This position will call on your ability to respond quickly and accurately in a wide variety of situations.
    • Whether you are gathering samples, performing analysis, or delivering test results, you'll be regularly challenged to innovate and invent.


    This position is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position.

    Anticipated schedule patterns:
    • Orientation to the position will be 06:00-14:30, Mondays-Fridays.
    • Once trained, this person will slot into a 3rd (graveyard) shift opening with a consistent schedule of 7 days on/7 days off.


    Minimum requirements:
    • Current ASCP certification.
    • Ability to perform basic microbiology (gram stains and set up)
    • Willing and able to perform venous and arterial blood collection.
    • Prior experience with microbiology, hematology, chemistry, blood banking, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, and blood gases and ability to move between all areas easily within the same shift.
    • A positive contributor to interpersonal interactions within the laboratory and MRH.
    • Willingness to modify schedule to help accommodate time off requests.
    • Emotionally mature and able to maintain same in stressful or STAT situations.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills (oral, written, and listening).
    • Must possess high levels of self-motivation and management.
    • Able to lift/move up to 15 lbs. without assistance and lift/move weights beyond 15 lbs. with assistance.
    • Ability to work in a confidential manner.
    • Reliable and timely with work schedule.
    • Flexible and willing to accept other duties as assigned.
