    Compensation

    Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

    Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

    Position Summary

    Summary:


    Provide Therapeutic services and activities therapy for the behavioral health patient population using a variety of techniques and interventions, including art, music, and dance/movement therapy in order to engage clients in treatment process and to improve and maintain their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

    Works in collaboration with the behavioral health multi-disciplinary treatment team.
    Qualifications

    Responsibilities:
    Education Required


    • Must complete in-house orientation program
    • Bachelor's Degree in Art, Music, or Recreation Therapy.
    Experience And Skills


    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Speaks, reads and writes English
    • Previous clinical experience with a behavioral health patient population.
    License/Certifications


    • Music Therapist Board Certified
    OR


    • Registered Art Therapist
    OR


    • Certified Recreational Therapist
    OR


    • LCAT or Provisional LCAT with Supervision
