    Boulder Care is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) passionate about Harm Reduction and experienced in prescribing buprenorphine-based medications for opioid use disorder in an outpatient environment.

    This is a fully remote, part-time (W2) role.

    We are looking for candidates who:

    • Live in states such as AK, AZ, CO, FL, ID, KS, NC, MD, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, WA, WY
    • Possess a valid NP license and PMHNP certification in their state
    • Have a minimum of 1 year of experience consistently prescribing buprenorphine-based medications in an outpatient setting
    • Are available for part-time work: 4-25 hours/week, with a minimum shift length of 4 hours
    • Can commit to one recurring weekday evening shift (5pm to 9pm Eastern/2pm to 6pm Pacific) and have two additional evenings for voluntary shifts

    About the Role

    In this impactful role, you will work directly with patients to provide medication-assisted treatment for Substance Use Disorders (SUD), helping them navigate their recovery journeys as part of Boulder's multidisciplinary care team.

    This patient-facing position (90%) involves:

    • Evaluating, diagnosing, and managing ongoing care for patients with complex SUDs
    • Incorporating harm reduction practices in every aspect of patient care
    • Facilitating patient-defined recovery goals through a therapeutic alliance and shared decision-making
    • Educating patients on Boulder's care model, SUDs, recovery strategies, and safer use practices
    • Coordinating treatment plans alongside colleagues and clinical leadership
    • Providing patient care through telehealth, ensuring a safe and rewarding experience
    • Making referrals to connect patients with additional clinical and social resources

    Administrative Tasks (10%):

    • Offering feedback and collaborating with technology teams to enhance digital platforms
    • Documenting patient visits promptly to support high-quality team-based care
    • Reviewing communication channels for updates
    • Adhering to Boulder's policies and procedures

    Requirements for the Role

    • At least 1 year of experience in addiction treatment as an NP
    • Preferred 3 or more years of clinical experience as an NP or RN
    • Degree from an accredited nursing school and a graduate-level clinician program
    • No significant legal or credentialing issues preventing approval for multiple state licenses
    • Expertise in managing SUDs within a chronic care model
    • Proficiency with electronic medical records and video conferencing tools; familiarity with Google Suite or similar applications is a plus
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication skills
    • Capability to quickly adapt to new technologies and workflows.
    • Access to a dedicated, private workspace with high-speed internet to maintain HIPAA compliance
    • Must not have previously been a patient at Boulder Care

    Schedule Expectations

    • Part-time clinicians work between 4 and 25 hours weekly
    • Each clinician has a recurring anchor shift, typically on a weekday evening from 5pm to 9pm Eastern
    • All shifts are a minimum of 4 hours
    • Opportunities to take on additional voluntary shifts as they arise
    • Part-time employees may transition to full-time roles if positions become available

    Compensation

    • $68 - $80 per hour based on experience and qualifications
