CES/AWS is looking for a Lead Mold Maker

Full-Time/Temp to Hire position | $37-$40/hr | Fairview, PA

A leading design and manufacturing facility in the Fairview, PA area is seeking an experienced Lead Mold Maker to join their team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled mold maker who can run jobs from start to finish, ensure quality and accuracy, and support team success.

The Lead Mold Maker will oversee planning, machining, assembly, and final delivery of molds while collaborating with engineering and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Job Execution & Quality

• Run mold-making jobs from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and high-quality results
• Attend concept meetings and review/interpret design packages
• Develop detailed production plans (routers) with engineering input
• Review job tickets and verify part quantities, spares, and requirements
• Control prints, redlines, and documentation
• Conduct and/or oversee inspection paperwork
• Record and report all errors or out-of-tolerance deviations

Production Support

• Oversee machining methods and time allocation
• Deliver work to next machining cell or process step
• Lead operations for grinding and assembly activities
• Handle final fit, assembly, and mold completion inspections
• Assist in debugging molds after sampling
• Participate in post-completion job reviews

Team Leadership

• Provide technical support and answer questions regarding quality and delivery
• Support training, motivation, and best practices across the team
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Education & Experience Requirements

• Certification, technical degree, or high school diploma with equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years' experience building and assembling high-cavitation, multi-action molds
• Strong understanding of mold manufacturing processes
• Ability to work independently and perform under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
