    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years paraprofessional or special education experience required.

    We are seeking a dedicated School Paraprofessional to join our team for the uping academic year. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting both individual students and group classrooms across various grade levels (K-12). This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of students while working collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct support to students in both one-on-one and group settings, assisting with academic tasks, classroom activities, and social interactions.
    • Collaborate with teachers to implement instructional strategies and acmodations tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
    • Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs), as necessary.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement, independence, and success.
    • Support classroom management by implementing established routines, reinforcing positive behavior, and addressing challenges as they arise.
    • Assist with the preparation and organization of instructional materials, resources, and technology to support teaching and learning.
    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
    • Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting, preferably in a role such as a paraprofessional, teacher assistant, or tutor.
    • Knowledge of educational principles, strategies, and best practices for supporting diverse learners, including those with special needs.
    • Strong munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
    • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
    • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
    • Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment is a plus.
    • Must meet all state and local requirements for employment, including background checks and certifications as applicable.
