    Assembler – TEMP TO HIRE

    Location: Chatsworth, CA

    Job Summary

    We are looking for an experienced Assembler to join our manufacturing team in building high tech telecommunications equipment. This position requires a person with a demonstrated proficiency in mechanical assembly and hand soldering.

    What you'll do

    • Assemble electronic and mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
    • Perform hand soldering operations.
    • Read and understand basic electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions, part lists, routings, work instructions, EO, ECO, BOM.
    • Inspect assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications and industry standards.
    • Use and operate standard hand and power tool such as screwdrivers, torque tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, and custom fixtures.
    • Follow ESD and safety procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    What would be useful

    • IPC-610 Certification

    Must Have

    The successful candidate must have:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Basic computer skills and the ability to use standard software.
    • Two years experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
    • Must be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components
    • Able to identify and touch up solder defects that occur during the SMT operation.
    • Ability to sit for long periods of time and lift 35 lbs.
