Miller Transportation Group is a mid-size, rapidly growing leader in the transportation industry that has been family-owned since 1912.
The company's several business units operate as follows:
Miller Truck Leasing - Provides full-service leasing, finance leasing, truck rental, and truck maintenance programs. Miller Truck Leasing is the largest privately-held truck leasing company on the East Coast.
Miller Dealerships - Provides car and light truck solutions across the Ford, Lincoln, and Subaru brands.
Miller Dedicated Services
The Vice President of Finance at Miller Truck Leasing will provide strategic direction for the business unit's financial functions, including all accounting oversight, financial reporting, FP&A, credit, insurance, compliance, and billing.
This individual will be a member of the Miller Truck Leasing leadership team and report to the CFO.Requirements
You will:
Drive excellence in operational and financial execution across all essential business operations.
Ensure proper financial controls are in place to conform with company policies, US GAAP, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Support the business strategy by fostering a collaborative environment focusing on continual improvement.Communicate financial results in an accurate and timely manner with internal and external parties as needed.
Oversee month-end closing, quarterly financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts.
Identify and analyze financial risks, report findings, and implement mitigating controls.
Manage all aspects of the annual audit.
Develop the accounting and finance teams to support anticipated growth.
Execute strategic initiatives together with the VP of Sales and VP of Operations.
Manage the company's insurance programs; mitigate potential risks, implement policies, negotiate with brokers and insurers, and ensure regulatory compliance.
You have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA preferred. MBA preferred.
15+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
Excellent organizational skills.
A creative mind with the ability to think beyond financial issues.
An exceptional ability to communicate financial results.
Outstanding business judgment.
Humility, empathy, and integrity.
Possible experience with mergers and acquisitions.
An ability to make strong requests and see objectives through to completion.
