    Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

    First shift hours; no weekends and no callEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Graduate from an approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
    • Certified by the NMBCT, ARRT (NM)
    • Registered as Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Indiana State Board of Health

    GENERAL SKILLS:

    • Nuclear Medicine procedures
    • Knowledge of State/NRC regulations
    • Nuclear QA/QC procedures.
    • Excellent people skills
    • Phone System Operation
    • Basic computer knowledgeThe Nuclear Medicine Technologist interprets physician requests, verifies orders and performs Nuclear Medicine exams and other duties related to the production of quality medical images. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist conducts exams in a manner conducive to the patient's safety, comfort and well being and is competent with all age groups. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is able to work independently in Nuclear Medicine and is responsible for all NRC and other regulatory documentation. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist supports and assumes a role in the Diagnostic Imaging and Harrison County Hospital customer service program. This position may require training into other additional imaging modalities within the confines of federal and state regulations and the Nuclear Medicine Technologist may be assigned other duties as deemed necessary to enhance the overall departmental functions. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist renders quality patient care in accordance with the philosophy, mission, objectives and policies of Harrison County Hospital and provides services to all age groups. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist takes reasonable precautions when caring for patients with the knowledge that mistakes may have serious consequences for the patient. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is willing to work any part of a 24 hour shift to enhance the departmental function.
