    General Summary:
    The Radiology Tech completes quality imaging on a variety of patients requiring X-Ray's and/or CT studies.
    Description of Essential Duties:
    • Produces high quality diagnostic images to include a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question
    • Participates in QA activities to include maintenance of patient logs and RIS forms
    • Keep Repeat/Retake percentage less than 7% of all images for each month
    • Understand the process of computed radiology, image processing, archiving, and sending of images to the PACS stations and perform these tasks accurately and free of error
    • Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections. Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques
    • Maintains proactive, effective communication with patient and the provider regarding any findings patient histories and test results as appropriate
    • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
    • Know and practice organizational values and adhere to organizational protocols
    • Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance
    • Function in a manner that supports the facility in meeting or exceeding goals set forth in the quality metrics
    • Support the Facility Leader and Lead Rad Tech by being a positive team player
    • Completion of daily checklists
    • Participate in morning huddles when on shift
    • Accurate completion of clinical inventory as assigned
    • Participate in facility specific education and training
    • Timely completion of tasks as assigned by the Lead Rad Tech or FL
    • Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance

    • Active State of Florida License
    • Active AART Certification
    • Must hold an active BLS certification
    • Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test
    • Must be successfully credentialed within each facility you will be performing shifts
    • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
    • Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facility
    • Ability to travel between local facilities (50-mile radius) in order to cover shifts
    • Legibly write English, clearly speak English, and proficiently read English
    • Bilingual Preferred
    Certifications/Licenses:
    • Active State of Florida License
    • Active AART Certification
    • Must hold an active BLS certification
