- Produces high quality diagnostic images to include a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question
- Participates in QA activities to include maintenance of patient logs and RIS forms
- Keep Repeat/Retake percentage less than 7% of all images for each month
- Understand the process of computed radiology, image processing, archiving, and sending of images to the PACS stations and perform these tasks accurately and free of error
- Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections. Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques
- Maintains proactive, effective communication with patient and the provider regarding any findings patient histories and test results as appropriate
- Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
- Know and practice organizational values and adhere to organizational protocols
- Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance
- Function in a manner that supports the facility in meeting or exceeding goals set forth in the quality metrics
- Support the Facility Leader and Lead Rad Tech by being a positive team player
- Completion of daily checklists
- Participate in morning huddles when on shift
- Accurate completion of clinical inventory as assigned
- Participate in facility specific education and training
- Timely completion of tasks as assigned by the Lead Rad Tech or FL
- Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance
- Active State of Florida License
- Active AART Certification
- Must hold an active BLS certification
- Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test
- Must be successfully credentialed within each facility you will be performing shifts
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
- Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facility
- Ability to travel between local facilities (50-mile radius) in order to cover shifts
- Legibly write English, clearly speak English, and proficiently read English
- Bilingual Preferred
- Active State of Florida License
