    Description

    Staff Management | SMX is looking for an Human Resources Assistant located in Vonore, TN. As the Human Resources Assistant, you will be assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties. This position will carry out responsibilities in some or all of the functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation and employment.     Job Responsibilities

    • Closely works with the Human Resources Manager and other departments throughout the organization providing a customer-focused and effective support service to the organization to achieve the organization goals and objectives.
    • Coordinates applicant application process, arranges interviews, and administers pre-employment tasks, assist with onboarding and orientation documentation as required.
    • Provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copy, tracking deadlines and taking down minutes as needed.
    • Manages sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee relations and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.
    • Responds to various queries from managers and employees and from other agencies and departments.
    • Coordinates staff training or appreciation events or programs and recommends resources as needed.
    • Interacts with and supplies information to employees, department heads and job applicants.
    • Other projects as assigned.

    Associate Requirements

    • HS Diploma or GED

    The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $ $22.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer a competitive benefits package.
