    Invasive Cardiology Technologist - $20,000 Sign On Bonus

    The Cath Lab at Elliot Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility offering advanced cardiovascular care and treatments. Our highly trained staff of doctors, nurses, technicians, and therapists provides the highest quality care for our patients.

    The lab offers comprehensive diagnostic services using the latest technology including cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, CT scans, MRI scans, and nuclear imaging.

    We also specialize in interventional procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, arrhythmia treatment, ventricular assist devices, and valve repair or replacement.


    Performs technical and supportive patient care tasks, within scope of practice, to assist the physician in performing invasive cardiovascular procedures according to the standards set forth by the American College of Cardiology & Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions under the direction of the Cardiovascular Services Clinical Nurse Manager and the Cardiovascular Services Medical Director.


    Scrubs and assists in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures as well as diagnostic and interventional vascular procedures and other cardiovascular procedures, including, but not limited to cardiac device implantation & electrophysiology studies/ablations, transesophageal echocardiograms and electrical cardioversions.


    • Assists in performing emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedures such as IABP insertion and temporary pacemaker insertion.
    • Operates cath lab hemodynamic monitoring and recording system to assure complete and accurate analysis of wave forms, values & other functions specific to the system.
    • Operates technical equipment in the cardiac cath lab, including but not limited to the cath lab table & imaging systems.
    • Recognizes apparent changes in patient's condition during procedure or post procedure and immediately communicates findings to physician or nurse; seeks assistance as appropriate.
    • Demonstrates knowledge and competency in performance of procedures specific to role in the Cardiac Cath Lab and recovery area including pre, intra and post procedure requirements.
    • Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology certification program or minimum of Applied Science Associates degree or Associates degree in radiology technology.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology experience.
    • Professional Certification from an accredited certifying body in radiology or cardiology including but not limited to: RCIS, RTR or ARRT.
    • Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new systems or performs upgrades to existing systems.
