The role you'll contribute:

• The Surgical Technologist I is a member of the healthcare team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse according to the accepted clinical standards of care.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure; displays knowledge of the procedure and patient positioning
• Performs appropriate counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants
• Helps in draping the sterile field
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/ GED
• Successful Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• American Heart BLS
• EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• AS in Surgical Technology
• 1 year of experience as a CST
• CVOR Education
• CV-Focus/Surgical specialties
• Certification acquired within 6 months
