    Position Summary:
    The Department of Marketing & Business Law in the Villanova School of Business at Villanova University invites applications for the inaugural James F. Kelly VSB '55 endowed Professor of Sales Practice. This is a non-tenure-track faculty position in professional sales with a start date in August 2024. Appointment will be for an initial three-year term, renewable based on performance, Finalists will be invited to interview on campus.

    We seek candidates with demonstrated exemplary teaching of sales courses at the college level. Capability to support the marketing curriculum teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels based on department needs is also expected. The teaching load is four courses per semester. Support for teaching and professional development is available.

    This position will lead professional sales initiatives within the department and across the Villanova School of Business. Responsible for oversight of competitive sales teams, organizing student trainings or networking opportunities, developing corporate relationships, and developing new curriculum in conjunction with department leadership. This position will also advise the existing Professional Selling student society. Some travel required.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for teaching sales courses as assigned.
    • Capability to support the marketing curriculum teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels based on department needs is also expected.
    • Lead professional sales initiatives within the department and across the Villanova School of Business.

    • Service is commensurate with rank.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Applicants must possess a Masters degree in a marketing or marketing-related field or an MBA by August 2024. Demonstrated exemplary teaching of sales courses at the college level.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • We seek candidates with demonstrated exemplary teaching of sales courses.
    • Capability to support the marketing curriculum teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels based on department needs is also expected.
    • Strong leadership and ability to lead curriculum initiatives and student opportunities.
    • Someone that can work with other faculty and contribute to a collegial environment.
