Lancaster Red Rose Credit Union is seeking a friendly and dependable individual to join our team to fill a Part-time Floating Teller position. Applicant will be trained on products and services, must have the ability to multi-task and be able to perform basic cash handling transactions. Previous teller experience is a plus but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions.

Receive share drafts/checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.

Process cash withdrawal requests. Pay out money after verification of signatures and member balances.

Handle requests from members for transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals, check request, CD transactions, line of credit advances and any other request received by member.

Open New Credit Union Accounts and Service Existing Accounts

Assist with dormant account notification and tracking when applicable.

Process gift cards for members upon request.

Receive loan payments and ensure the payments match balances due.

Process mail and night depository transactions.

Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totaled amounts to the computer generated balance sheet. Research and resolve discrepancies. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor.

Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of all products and services that are handled or promoted by tellers. Must also be knowledgeable and current on all credit union policies and processes for the teller area, including robbery procedures.

Ensure that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, brochures, ect.

Responsible for knowing and promoting credit union products and services.

Must have vehicle and ability to get to all branches.

Weekly schedule will vary hours per week. Weekends included.

Performs basic clerical tasks as assigned by manager, including but not limited to: filing, scanning, photocopying, faxing.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TELLER:

Basic math and computer skills. Prior banking and cash-handling experience is a plus but not required.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a Part-time position. Hours can range between 9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. Monday - Thursday, Friday 9:00a.m. - 6:00p.m. and every Saturday from 8:45a.m. - 12:45pm. Ideal job for college students or high school senior.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 28 per week
