    Position Summary:
    Imaging Engineering Specialist is a person skilled in technical and supervisory work in the repair and preventive maintenance of imaging equipment, electro mechanical medical equipment. Work requires a broad knowledge of medical equipment and includes responsibility for shop supervision, assignment and training of subordinate specialist.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    · Test, repairs, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance procedures on complex medical equipment.

    · Troubleshoots electronic circuits to the component level.

    · Reads and interprets schematics diagrams, service manuals, wiring sketches and work in the English and metric system.

    · Demonstrates ability to use a wide variety of test instruments in performing troubleshooting and repair procedures.

    · Possesses knowledge of basic hand tool application and ability to use those tools.

    · Possesses knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

    · Demonstrates skills in the use of metal turning lathe, drill press, grinders, and other general machine tool and associated hand tools.

    · Accurately documents all aspects of work performed and maintains equipment records.

    · Communicates effectively with varied professional level of hospital staff.

    · Demonstrates ability to work under widely changing demands and stress levels and in sensitive situations unique to a medical institution.

    · Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).

    · Performs all other related job duties as assigned.

    · Furthermore, as needed, travel via public transportation or personal vehicle to other JHS facilities to inspect/maintain/repair equipment.

    Experience:

    Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.

    Education:
    High school diploma is required. Associate's degree is strongly preferred.

    License Certification:
    Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
