    About the role:


    Maintain tax records and prepare federal income tax returns and reporting for foreign subsidiary corporations, estimated tax computations, tax accruals, foreign and federal tax true-up computations, and related for a large multinational consolidated group of entities.

    Complete special projects as needed and specialize in the international aspects of U.S. federal income taxes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare quarterly tax estimates and U.S. international tax compliance, utilizing federal international tax compliance guidelines (Form 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, 1120, etc.)
    • Prepare quarterly US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and insurance statutory tax accruals and return-to-accrual true-up computations
    • Review quarterly and annual foreign statutory tax accruals and return-to-provision true-up computations of foreign subsidiaries.
    • Respond to notices and audit inquiries from the IRS.
    • Maintain tax depreciation records.
    • Prepare and record income tax related journal entries.
    • Mentor new employees.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of tax department spreadsheets and software (One Source products - Income Tax, Tax Provision, International Tax Calculator, etc.) as they relate to foreign subsidiaries.

    Skills and Experience:

    Essential:

    • Bachelor's in accounting or related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
    • At least 5 Years of Relevant and progressive International Tax experience with concentration in the areas of corporate consolidated tax returns of multinational controlled groups.
    • Public accounting International Tax experience in a large firm preferred.
    • Strong experience and understanding of US GAAP tax accounting for controlled foreign corporations.
    • Proficiency using specialized income tax software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication ability
    • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office package.

    Desirable:

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
    • Experience with multinational insurance groups preferred.
