    The role of the Senior System Architect / Senior Software Engineer is an opportunity for a proven leader and technical expert in application delivery to help set and execute the design, engineering standards, and delivery processes, across Payment Integrity Solutions in the Provider Technology organization.

    As a Senior member of the team, the candidate will work with a highly Agile team to develop, execute, validate, and maintain a suite of integrated software products. The candidate must be passionate about technology and is always looking to further their personal knowledge and expertise.     Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solution. Documents, tests, implements, and provides on-going support for the applications. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. This role will focus on the achievement of departmental objectives and financial goals. Will play a significant part in achieving functional/technical delivery to our business, ensuring that priorities are met, and appropriate business value is delivered.

    The Senior Senior Software Engineer fulfills the following duties:

    • Be hands-on in the designing of robust solutions to hard problems, while considering scale, security, reliability, and cost
    • Support other product delivery partners in the successful build, test, and release of solutions.
    • Work with distributed requirements and technical stakeholders to complete shared design and development.
    • Support the full software lifecycle of design, development, testing, and support for technical delivery.
    • Actively participate in agile ceremonies and/or team-based events
    • Work with Product Owners and the team to understand the business value and break down the feature as stories.
    • Review user stories/requirements to identify ambiguities and collaborate with team to help estimate effort.
    • Possess awesome technical abilities that will enable you to significantly improve product quality and time to market.
    • Make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services and applications at scale
    • Stay on the leading edge of development practices and Passionate about great technologies, especially open source
    • Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively for your audience.
    • Collaborate across teams and departments to help to create best practices.
    • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines
    • Identify defects and write reproducible bug reports following team standards for defects.
    • Proactively lead team members on all aspects of software engineering.

    • Make presentations on software technologies, frameworks, and patterns to the organization.

    • Ability to think outside of the box to simplify the current environment for better manageability and support.
    • Ability to map current initiatives to refactor existing applications code as needed.
    • Participate in building key frameworks, including DevOps/testing automation, and patterns that promote modularity, configurability, reusability, reliability, and telemetry (aligned to DP's principles).
    • Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations
    • Promote the usage of code quality and code security analyzers, like Checkmarx.
    • Implement threshold checks for unit test coverages within the CI/CD pipeline.
    • Perform thorough code reviews.

    Technical Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 10 years prior experience in architecture, design, engineering and mentoring team members.
    • Innovative leader capable of solving complex problems and leading application development teams to deliver business-critical, enterprise solutions.
    • Strong experience in implementing solutions using AWS native services.
    • Experience in executing POCs with new technologies that may include workflows, UX and full stack technologies.
    • Full-stack developer with experience in JAVA, Spring boot, Python, Node .Net Framework, C#, Git, Entity Framework, and service-based messaging.
    • Experience in workflow tools like IBM BAW & PEGA
    • Experience in Automation tools such as BluePrism, UI Path
    • Experience in MQ, Kafka, JMS messaging.
    • Experience in Database designing and SQL/PLSQL programming
    • Experience in design and implementation of workflow solutions.
    • Knowledge in building analytics and predictive ML models.
    • Has some level of understanding or experience in working on AWS services like S3, VPC, glue, lambda, Aurora.
    • Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
    • Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
    • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and establish a high level of credibility with business users/stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational and conflict management skills.
    • Strong communication skills with ability to convey complex and technical information in an understandable way.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to include written, oral and group presentation skills and ability to influence with all levels.
